Sipdroid Audio problems on Atrix #885

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I configured sip server on Sipdroid App (Sipdroid-2.2pure.apk)
Initiated a call from external sip client.

Sipdroid was able to get incoming call, picked the call and connection was
made. But Ausio is not clear at all. Can not hear anything what I speak on
Atrix on the other end

I have same problem on my Atrix (terrible audio from headset and mic both.)
Same SIP servers work fine in Fring on the same phone. No choice of codec
seems to make a difference. Very choppy like echo, but everything is set to
'low.' Once, for about 20sec I had clarity, but then back to audio chopped up
by helicopter blades. Gave up.

I am having the same problem with my Atrix. The audio is choppy. Fring, on the
other hand, works with no problems. Changing the codecs does not clear the
problem either. I did have it work on just one call. All the others have failed.

Same messed up audio issue here running Google Voice -> Pbxes.org -> Sipdroid
on my Atrix. CSipsimple seems equally borked, but as the others have said,
Fring connected to the exact same SIP rig works fine.

its not only sipdroid, Skype has the same issues. Its HW, Android or ATT. hope
someone can "crack" the problem/restrictions.

It is a Motorola Atrix bug. Moto shipped this device with dozens of serious
bugs. One of them is only being able to use AudioSource.CAMCORDER and
recording at 32kHz. So if a dev could hack Sipdroid to detect the Atrix and do
this, we might be all set.

Guys look at the Atrix xda dev thread. There is a new audio lib that you can
copy over.
It fixes Skype and other VOIP applications. Have not tried it myself yet!

Hey guys. Just letting you know, this issue was all fixed up on csipsimple.
With the atrix's latest firmware, it almost works with sipdroid too. I think
the only thing missing is to make sipdroid sample at 32 khz on the atrix, or
add an option to do so.

receive the calls, but can ear into the atrix, but when I speak inthe atrix,
inte other side doesn't ear anything.
