And shouldn't it have resolved the t.co link?

Yeah, it should have. It's a shame there's no sort of logging for situations like this, would definitely come in handy.

I think this is a Twitter thing.

curling the link posted will redirect you to Dinnerbone's tweet (with the same ID), which will then redirect you to jeb's tweet with a different ID. The api doesn't seem to follow the same rules.
