We want a more intuitive display to a typical microscopy technician or everyday user rather than a technical design or SEM engineering perspective, perhaps somewhat more minimal. For example, we wouldn't need to show the intermediate step displays such as spot layout, spot content, spot signal, etc. This is because these may be confusing to an every microscopist because these steps are not usually shown.
We would have the concept of scale like nm, set astigmatism, mag, set focus, B/C, etc. So some kind of control/options UI.
We might be able to switch between display modes, where the intermediate steps are shown - the "technical" display mode for example...
