joedicastro / vps-comparison

A comparison between some VPS providers. It uses Ansible to perform a series of automated benchmark tests over the VPS servers that you specify. It allows the reproducibility of those tests by anyone that wanted to compare these results to their own. All the tests results are available in order to provide independence and transparency.

Add Hetzner Cloud support #35

I migrated my project from Scaleway to Hetzner Cloud and have experienced 5x improvement in response times for a node app for a server of the same monthly cost, a more stable Docker environment, better network performance, a FAR better UI, adequate supply compared to Scaleway's perpetual stock issues, and lower costs (ignoring the performance improvement). Scaleway's pricing also holds a deceptive secret I discovered -- if you reboot your server you reset the monthly pricing cap, which means you can end up paying a lot more than you thought you would; it looks like Hetzner doesn't pull this stunt.

They have 2 servers < 5 EUR (well I'm outside Europe so maybe with VAT included this is not true for you) and more interesting is that your project may qualify for a 50 EUR account credit, see their wiki about open source projects & API integration.

Same here, I moved from OVH to Hetzner cloud. Significantly more performance especially on the disk and networking side. Soon their new Finland RC should be available in the cloud section. amazing, especially when the add private networking.
