What version of ftpii are you using?
0.0.21

ftpii was working perfectly with my usb drive samsung s2 500GB, until I updated
HBC from 1.0.8 using IOS61 to HBC 1.0.8 using IOS58, from then ftpii does not
mount the usb drive (also HBC was unable to see it)
other apps see the drive just fine...

how can I see what IOS is ftpii using ?

The next version of ftpii, which I hope to release soon, will tell you what IOS
version is running at startup.

I also am having a similar problem. I also updated to HBC 1.0.8 and have ios
58 installed. This means that HBC is using ios 58. HBC sees the drive fine.
ftpii does not see the drive when launching from HBC. However ftpii does see
the drive when I launch from my forwarder channel from the system menu. The
forwarder channel uses ios 35 so that explains why it works. However if ftpii
is launched from HBC it will use ios 58. There are problems with apps using 58
recognizing some drives. Wiimc 1.0.9 is now using 58 and also does not detect
my drive.

Joe it is great to see you back working on ftpii. It is a great app and I use
it all the time. Thanks for all your hard work. I worked with Daco of
Priiloader on issue 107 for a couple of months. I finally found that ftpii was
doing an init video twice and Daco patched the code. I hope that you have
considered this change with release 0.0.22.

I decided to try and build R308 myself to test the 58 hard drive problem.
However I am getting an error when linking. The error says "cannot find
-lseeprom". Joe can you tell me where to obtain this library? Thanks...

Hi Joe,

I have figured out how to build R308 and have some interesting results. I
realize that 0.0.22 is not ready yet but figured I would pass on what is
happening on my system with the latest build. My usb hd is not mounted
initially. However if I do a remount using the B button, the device is mounted
successfully. This occurs both from HBC with ios 58 and from my forwarder with
ios 35. I am not sure if the mount is failing initially and not generating an
error message or just not trying to mount the drive initially. FYI the ugly
green bar problem reported in issue 107 remains fixed with R308. Thanks...

Hi all,

I have the same problem with version ftp 0.0.21 in combination with Wii
firmware 3.4e. I do not see the cdcard or any other device when i connect with
Filezila. When can we expect a patch for this. Looking forward to your
reaction. Greetings!

The easiest solution is to reinstall DVDx. Had an old installer on my SD,
installed it and 0.0.21 mounted my HDD again.

OK I decided to try eco.the.101 solution of installing DVDx. It does work and
I am not sure why this is. I have reverted back to 0.0.21 with DVDx and my usb
hard drive is now recognized again. I hope Joe releases 0.0.22 soon because
DVDx is no longer needed or used by any other apps and I really do not want it
on my system.

You will need hackmii installer V0.6 to install/reinstall DVDx. You can get it
here...

OK I decided to try this mystery release. The good news is that it does
recognize my drive. It also runs under ios58 using usb 2.0 which makes it
extremely fast. However the app fails to open any of my sub folders on the
drive. When I tried to do a file transfer I was awarded with a stack dump. This
version is not ready for prime time. Perhaps I will try and build R308 again
with the latest libogc. Anyway for now the best solution is to use 0.0.21 with
DVX installed. I sure wish Joe would come back for one more release...
