Allow output directory to be configured #238

set PACKER_OUTPUT_DIR and that's where the VM builds will end up.

Useful if your drive is constrained. I have a laptop, so I use this to redirect my builds to an external drive.

I'm not keen on this approach to have this in this repo as it enforces to have this environment variable for all other users.

Closing this. Feel free to add comments. I think there are other solutions without adding this change to the code base.
