installation process in Readme.md unclear #1

sorry to use the issue for that. but the Readme.md states for the installation: _Steps Just launch _build.bat (check that the MSFS_SDK path is correctly set). Copy the built package in dist\Packages in your MFS packages.

do i really need the SDK and running the bat in order for proper installation? cant i just download the file from the releases and place the downloaded folder (ui-widget-for-vfrmap) into my communit y folder?

PS: will you put your piece of software onto flightsim.to?

Hi,

This README is only if you want to make modifications and build this widget by yourself You can find the package built ready-to-use, in the releases sections: https://github.com/joelcancela/MFS2020_VFRMap_UI_Widget/releases ui-widget-for-vfrmap.zip

Also, it is already on flightsim.to :) https://flightsim.to/file/9424/mfs-2020-ui-widget-for-vfrmap

Thanks. So I installed it correctly. However, Toolbar icon is showing up, but in the new window no map is seen. Just the grey background of the vfrmap window. Thanks

Sorry. But where to find VRFmap.exe ?

I followed your link to msfsaddons.org but on there the setup guide says: go to github and download the release. But I cant find the exe in the downloaded zip of the release.

This link https://www.msfsaddons.org/freeware/plugin-vfrmap Then scroll down and click on "check for latest release" You'll arrive here: https://github.com/lian/msfs2020-go/releases Just download vfrmap-win64-v0.0.7.zip and extract it, the executable is inside image

If it disappears you may have trouble with your antivirus thinking it's a false positive
