Thanks for reporting! Yeah, it sounds to me like this e-mail exploits a Webkit bug, should probably be reported to the Safari/Webkit team
I got another one formatted the same, it makes the webview lock up like the first one does. ^_^

Seems this should be closed, as it's not Fastmate related, but rather Webkit. In general, I'd recommended against clicking any e-mail marked spam :-)
Unfortunately while FastMail provides for you to mark an email as spam without viewing it, in order to mark it as phishing, you have to view it. That button menu only appears in the reading pane.
I've opened a support ticket about that twice and gotten nonsense answers back from their support.

It doesn't. I'm not sure what you're complaining about, but it isn't this.
I agree with everyone that this isn't a Fastmate issue.
Any click on this email in Fastmate makes the window lock up, although the menu still works.
Clicking on the same email in Safari makes the tab containing Fastmail lock up. With Chrome, the email can be viewed.
Looking at the raw message, it doesn't look like a valid one to ME.
Just putting it out there, since it seems it's the underlying web view that's got the bug.
