SMS not sent! (o2 connector)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. write sms
2. send sms
3. watch "sending" notification icon and network monitor

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- I expect that the "sending" notification disapears after a while when the msg 
is sent. OR an error is reported if sending fails. BUT "sending" remains until 
I manually delete it from my status line. No sms is sent.
- I do not see any network activity (SeePU graph)!

What version of the product are you using?
- WebSMS v4.2.7
- WebSMS Connector: o2 v1.7.3
on
- Android 2.3.7 (CyanogenMod 7.1.4)
- Motorola Milestone

Please provide any additional information below.
- in the past, maybe until end of last year everything was fine.
- all other apps that need network are working fine (WhatsApp, Browser, eMail, 
...)

I traced my problem a bit and IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RAM-USAGE!

As you might see from the screenshot attached o2-Connector IS running. Even 
after a couple of minutes! But it does not do anything! No network activity, 
nothing. It keeps in this state until I kill it.

After killing it, connector is working for 1-2 SMS then again the same problem 
(until I kill it).

So my reported problem is different from the one discussed here.

Same problem here with websms 4.7 and o2 connector 1.7.4 .
Android Version is 4.3 . I can send one SMS after send i have to kill the 
connector to send the next message.
