I like these ideas. Even if there is not a 1:1 match between learning outcome and section, we could at least link to the section most relevant to each LO. For the conclusion agree that linking back to our learning outcomes could work well.
I also like suggestion from the feedback we received about creating an empty/fillable, printable cheatsheet at the end of each chapter (could be quite do-able with AI) that is a bit more granular than the learning outcomes. If we want the learning outcomes to be the main source of truth / study tool, could consider making each LO expandable for more granular sub-LOs. Though that could be overkill.
We can add a link from each learning objective to the corresponding section in the text (would this make students skip section with LOs? Should every section have an LO? Good questions for us to answer).
Have a note at the end of each chapter that links back to the learning objectives so that students go up and read them again. Or write a chapter summary/cheat sheet as suggested by one student, but I'm more inclined to try to reuse the LO/summary instead of rewriting the same info in different words.
