Empty single tab, if you close it sidewise will end #84

In every chrome I use on different systems a single empty tab has been displayed when opening it for some time. If you close it Sidewise will be closed. Is this the tab that represents Sidewise itself? Why does it appear and why does it not disappear? It irritates and disturbs.
