[ Feature Request ] Show hidden bookmark bar on Chrome when opening new tab #171

Open ipproductions opened 5 years ago

The default Chrome behavior is for it to show the hidden bookmark bar when a new tab is opened.

I love Tabliss and it would be nice if it behaved the same as a vanilla chrome new tab in this regard.

Thanks.

I'd love this as well, oddly enough it works well on Mac version of MS Edge

Same here. It doesn't make sense for me to use tabliss when it means I can't see my bookmarks. At least it would be good to import the whole bookmark bar into the tabliss quicklinks. The other option is to always show the bookmark bar, which is also not great.

I think this can be implemented with bookmarks API.

I would like this too... It would be nice if Tabliss could show the bookmarks bar on a new tab page, same way Chrome default tab does.

The chance is slim on this but I'd love to have this. I only need to have bookmark bar on new tab and not opening ones.

Ctrl+Shift+B is the keyboard shortcut to show/hide the bookmarks bar in Chrome and Firefox.

Can extensions press keyboard shortcuts?

EDIT: This isn't directly related to the issue, but in a way it is. Why am I not using the Quick Links in Tabliss? I am, but I'm not using it as much as bookmarks as it's far easier to add a link to my tab-bar than to Tabliss.

For example. Why do I have to change the icon from None to Website Icon, can't it remember that? Why can't I hold in a keyboard shortcut near the Quick Links to just type a url and it do it for me? What if it does that for any bookmarks saved in a specific "Tabliss" boomarks sub-directory in my "All bookmarks"? Meaning I just press Ctrl+D and my browser saves my current url in my last saved bookmark directory, if I only use that Tabliss sub-directory, it'd be that easy.
