Doesn't work right with vivaldi? #575

I have looked for over an hour at different posts and nobody else seems to be having this same issue? Or maybe I am just searching it wrong in terms. My issue is it does not by default open to tabliss in Vivaldi. It opens a completely blank vivaldi page with no link. If I then open a new tab it then perfectly shows Tabliss. I want to to launch to Tabliss by default. Is their a way of achieving this I am not seeing?

Video of issue: https://i.imgur.com/KjvSOyp.gif

Vivaldi version: 5.6.2867.62 (Stable channel) (64-bit)

To reproduce this issue simply install Tabliss, and that is it

I have toggled the setting startpage and toggled the controlled by extension option.

Am I missing something?

This seems to be is an issue with Vivaldi

Testing with another similar extension, Tabby Cat: https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/121819290/219209216-3908b167-2ed9-4884-aa41-bf0b62663b46.mp4

You could try filing a bug at https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/, however this isn't something it seems like the developers of this issue can fix.

I'm not a developer or maintainer on this project, I just enjoy snooping the issues

This seems to be an issue with Vivaldi, and Opera. Both of which I already made a ticket with. Makes sense because they both stemmed from a single source from my understanding. However, tabliss may be able to make a workaround for it so I tend to cross post to both.

I'll leave it open for now, but I just ended up building my own browser from chromium. I'll leave it up to devs on if this should be closed or not. As it's not resolved, but not an issue of mine anymore, but still an issue nonetheless.

I'm having a slow evening and I lurk here and thought I'd give my two sense. Not sure how Tabliss might be able to do a workaround if the browser is flawed but eh, I'm not a extenstion developer. Hey, though, good luck with building your own browser - you're a braver developer than I am!

Seeing this issue still open, I have the same problem over a year later. Any workaround would be great...
