I cannot find the collaboration feature #781

I'm just discovering dillinger and it seams a really great tool. However, I can't find how to collaborate with other people so that we can all read and write simultaneously in real time on the same document.

I read here and there that it should be possible, but it seams not activated on dillinger.io.

Here is what I see : image No "Collaborate" menu or white heart.

Am I missing something ?

This feature would be great. Pull requests are accepted!

I read here https://github.com/joemccann/dillinger/pull/197 and there https://github.com/joemccann/dillinger/pull/206 that it should be possible, but it seams not activated on dillinger.io.

Thanks for your answer @joemccann. I want to contribute. Could you guide me on the right track ? On the links I have pointed above, @johntyree write about ShareJS, as if the collaboration feature were already implemented somewhere and would just need some work to be pushed to the master branch.

As I read again now the pull request WIP: Real-time collaborative editing #197 is not merged. Do you think this PR is a good place to start ? Or is it too far await now and the better solution is to start again from master ?

Yeah you’ll notice it is a WIP and is now 6 years old.

I’d argue upgrading Dillinger to the latest version of Angular and Gulp would be the best starting point. From there, we can add more features like real time collaboration
