Today I moved the two remaining 2020 blog posts onto the new system, and I worked out Twitter embedding at the same time (it turns out you literally copy the code)
Better fix all these:
Status URL Source link text
[Too many redirections](javascript:httpspecialerror("The URL results in a redirection (e.g. 301 or 302) either back to itself, or to a chain of redirections which either eventually reaches the original URL or appears to be endless. Note that redirections sometimes depend on whether cookies are enabled.");) https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1008651105359 “Layers of Silence, Arenas of Voice: The Ecology of Visible and Invisible Work” [303 from https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1008651105359] [302 from https://idp.springer.com/authorize?response_type=cookie&client_id=springerlink&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Flink.springer.com%2Farticle%2F10.1023%2FA%3A1008651105359] [303 from https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1008651105359] [302 from https://idp.springer.com/authorize?response_type=cookie&client_id=springerlink&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Flink.springer.com%2Farticle%2F10.1023%2FA%3A1008651105359] [303 from https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1008651105359] [302 from https://idp.springer.com/authorize?response_type=cookie&client_id=springerlink&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Flink.springer.com%2Farticle%2F10.1023%2FA%3A1008651105359] [303 from https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1008651105359] [302 from https://idp.springer.com/authorize?response_type=cookie&client_id=springerlink&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Flink.springer.com%2Farticle%2F10.1023%2FA%3A1008651105359] [303 from https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1008651105359] [302 from https://idp.springer.com/authorize?response_type=cookie&client_id=springerlink&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Flink.springer.com%2Farticle%2F10.1023%2FA%3A1008651105359]

:I've done lots and lots on the blog.
grep -h "assets/uploads/" .md /*.md | sed 's/^..Alt text../../' | sed 's/)//' > temp.txt :saveas locations/% :bufdo s/whatever
Left to do:
There's also a big number of things that are left to move over, and sort of have to be done mechanically.
You know what? I don't want to fix this until I get a solution to why I've got a 150 posts that aren't being picked up by google.
Okay, so what do I really want to do?
I'm currently doing the second. There are 430 posts so that seems like a lot of work at one a day. But, equally, that's probably a fair amount of good content, that's better than the STUFF I already have.
Certainly if I work backwards then I propably am already 'moving over the popular interesting' ones to start with. hmm.
One potential drawback is that some of these posts really belong in sets (doghouse and so on) and I probably want to work out tags when I do them.
First THING is to move over pages that I want. Like media for now.
Overwhelming rule
YOU CAN ONLY WORK ON THE SITE ON DAYS WHEN YOU HAVE WRITTEN A BLOG POST
