Okay, so what do I really want to do?

• Gradually review and rewrite all of my blogs? Seems like a lot of work
• Have two seperate sites for a while?
• Move over the popular/interesting ones and drop a bunch of the others?

I'm currently doing the second. There are 430 posts so that seems like a lot of work at one a day. But, equally, that's probably a fair amount of good content, that's better than the STUFF I already have.

Certainly if I work backwards then I propably am already 'moving over the popular interesting' ones to start with. hmm.

One potential drawback is that some of these posts really belong in sets (doghouse and so on) and I probably want to work out tags when I do them.

First THING is to move over pages that I want. Like media for now.

Today I moved the two remaining 2020 blog posts onto the new system, and I worked out Twitter embedding at the same time (it turns out you literally copy the code)

• One post in (Well, I've got to do the git)
• Worked out Twitter embeds
• Both 2020 posts done. That's cool, let's take a step back.
• Rewriten the issue
• Moving the media page I discover that there are quite a lot of screenshots to download, and also quite a lot of articles that don't exist any more.

:I've done lots and lots on the blog.

• I closed down joereddington.com and wrote a custom 404 page.
• I transferred all the narrative maps
• I worked out how to use :bufdo and various other vim things to fix the image paths, permalinks, and a bunch of other things in the blogs
• I rewrote five doghouse posts into one
• I migrated lots of posts
• I deleted lots and losts of posts
• I created some twitter links to existing posts.
• I publicly committed to the work.
• Properly linked the main page.
