Error: undefined method `[]' for false #1

When trying to start monitoring I get but the following error, both on Mac and on Linux:

monitor.rb:16:in `index': undefined method `[]' for false:FalseClass (NoMethodError)

I have shut the service down. Too few people used it and it was quite costly for me.
