CBECC MF: Enhance modeling coverage #103

Identify resolutions for gaps in modeling capabilities between CSE and EnergyPlus. These will be handled on a case-by-case basis to determine the best approach for modeling a given technology. Potential solutions include:

  1. Using best approximations given the current capabilities in a given engine (e.g., approximating airflow mass balance in EnergyPlus or VRF performance in CSE)
  2. Modeling zones in EnergyPlus where system models do not exist in CSE or modeling systems in CSE where similar capabilities are limited in EnergyPlus.
  3. Pass CSE hourly loads (and full airflow connections) results to EnergyPlus for HVAC simulation Modify CSE/EnergyPlus source code to enhance coverage
