CBECC-Com - Ductless Minisplits Efficiency Credit #49

Open joesinger12 opened 6 years ago

3/27/18 CEC - The RES team is getting nearer to a new way to model ductless mini-splits (currently they get no credit/no penalty)..the thought is to give them a percentage higher SEER/EER and HSPF (maybe 5, 10, or 15% bump above code minimum regardless of their rated efficiency) and some true credit for being ductless.. This may be resolved in the next few weeks, so we may need to implement this new way into NonRes as well for the next release

Moving to development list - awaiting further direction based on CBECC-Res implementation.

For the purposes of minimum efficiency checks, should the CodeMin efficiency for Minisplits assume 1phase? This would be: MinisplitHP: EER-14.0/HSPF-8.2 MinisplitAC: EER-14.0 Reviewing ticket 1954 again, it appears this is what is assumed in Res. https://sourceforge.net/p/cbecc-com/tickets/1954/

Is there any way we can confirm this? Right now the rules assume 3 phase, but I'm thinking this may not be appropriate. It is an easy fix for SP2, so if it can be confirmed today, I can make the change.
