3 years ago SC - We should run this by CEC. With larger models the CEC may prefer to abort on the garage logic, since location there is highly unlikely in those models - and they may even suggest a corresponding change in Res (for all or a subset of MFam models (more than X dwelling units)).
If we DO elect to go with a Garage location in Com, we should also decide what temperature to use for that. For uncond spaces we assume an average of 70deg & the outdoor DBT - but for Garages it should probably be weighted much more toward outdoor DBT.
Discuss issue with CEC.

Does the baseline location of the individual heat-pump vary in the low-rise models for the 2019.1.3 CBECC-Res? CEC mentioned that for CZ 1, 3 and 5 the baseline location was outside and for the rest of the climate zones it is in conditioned space. I checked 2019.1.3 SP1 COM and am just seeing the location as “unconditioned” for all climate zones.
Update - I did a quick test and it seems the Baseline location is being set the same as Proposed in COM.
