Wordnet version neutrality #11

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The program is currently tied to v 2.1 for Windows and Linux and v3.0 for
Mac. It should be possible now to make the program version neutral.

I don't understand this one. Isn't it WordNet "version neutral" now?

Not really, when they update windows to 3.0 you have to change the code, it
can't
deal with older versions and for non-Win non-Mac is assumes 2.1, currently a
discontinued version for Unix (although depending on the package manager it may
still
be found and installed).

If it could check for ether 2.1 or 3.0 when loading that would be a start.

To be clear the problem is in setting the file path not loading the file and
finding
the words.

I thought 3.0 version was not available for Windows?
