Screen won't work? #87

Hello!

I recently finished assembling this project but when I plugged it in to flash the software, the screen didn't display anything. Originally I thought this was an issue with the screen driver, which I soldered by hand, but I replaced it and nothing changed. :( I'm pretty sure that the rest of the board works, when I plug it into my computer it makes the fun little sound and I'm able to download files onto the board, however, every time I download the book.uf2 file the board automatically disconnects and I can't find it anywhere to see if the file was downloaded successfully.

I've turned the board on, reset everything, held down BOOTSEL and pressed reset, and checked all of my components along with making sure there are batteries in the board and inserting 64GB microSD card as well. I'm a bit of a beginner, so if there's anything I might not have tried that you think I should please let me know!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hey there, there is a known issue with the newer display not working correctly. i have recently got limited success by flashing other software to the board from waveshare which displayed the standard demo images from them. you can try to do the same as what I did over in #77 to test the display.
