Grip not running with `grip:2: maximum nested function level reached` error #307

Running grip returns the following error:

grip:2: maximum nested function level reached

machine env:

ProductName:    Mac OS X
ProductVersion: 10.14.6
BuildVersion:   18G95
yarn version: 1.17.3
node version: v12.0.0
