Using tags for releases #18

Closed bchretien closed 10 years ago

Hi,

Would it be possible to use git tags for releases rather than just branches? This is the expected way to handle this (https://github.com/joferkington/mpldatacursor/releases).

Anyhow, awesome project!

@bchretien - Sorry for my late reply and thanks for the suggestion/reminder! (and kind words)

I'd been tagging, but had forgotten to push the tags to github with git push --tags (apparently they aren't pushed by default).

The releases should show up now. Thanks again!

Perfect, thanks!

FYI, I was in the process of packaging mpldatacursor for Arch Linux (here), and tags make it easier.

@bchretien - Thanks a bunch for packaging things for Arch!
