libwebkit2gtk-3.0-dev is no longer maintained. Ubuntu 16.04 and Debian 9 "Stretch" offer libwebkit2gtk-4.0-dev which is currently supported.

I guess you'll need to do something about webkit2gtk-3.0.deps and webkit2gtk-3.0.vapi. Why do you need those?

I created the vapi files on system that did not have an up to date vapi file for the last version of webkit but it has hopefully changed.

The build system already uses webkit2gtk-4.0
