Is there a reason, that 2.7.8 ist still the lasted release?

Nope there is no real reason for that. Beta release 2.8.3 (and docker: grott:2.8.2) is master "worthy". I only have not done it yet.

I created a docker 2.8.3 container (for all architectures). I am still testing it so not yet an official (master or beta) image. You are welcome to test it: ledidobe/grott:2.8.3 image on docker.

I am trying to cleanup the mesh I made with version (docker and github). For a small period in time 2.7.8 will be the master (latest) and 2.8.3 the beta for both Github and docker.

Soon I will make the 2.8.3 the master and there will be a 3.0.0 Beta.
