Firefox Addon #3294

Open Sythelux opened 4 months ago

Sythelux commented 4 months ago

There is a Google Chrome addon, but I wasn't able to find a firefox addon? There is no mentioning of it in the readme. I also didn't find any issues about it. Are there no plans to release a firefox addon?

Problem Statement

I don't use any chrome based browser. I have firefox.

:grey_question: Possible Solution

I heard it should be rather easy to make an addon that is working on both browsers

:arrow_heading_up: Describe alternatives you've considered

I could install a chrome based browser, but firefox is a well known and widespread browser as well.

Thank you very much for opening up this issue! I am currently a bit overwhelmed by the many requests that arrive each week, so please forgive me, if I fail to respond personally. I am still very likely to at least skim read your request and I'll probably try to fix all (real) bugs if possible and I will likely review every single PR being made (please, give me a heads up if you intent to do so) and I will try to work on popular requests (please upvote via thumbs up on the original issue) whenever possible, but trying to respond to every single issue over the last years has been kind of draining and I need to adjust my approach for this project to remain fun for me and to make any progress with actually coding new stuff. Thanks for your understanding!

I'd like to help with this, but I am too busy right now. So I am going to put this here for anyone interested: https://extensionworkshop.com/documentation/develop/porting-a-google-chrome-extension/
