Qestion for help straight for @Johndrinkwater #1

so,i want to export all models and textures for example from basic_apartment_evening_T037.sdat (harbour studio). What i need to do? i googled how to decrypt sdat to dat but what to do next? contentID and what-not,im not familiar with ps3 things.can you help me?

I'm confused why would you need it ? since home used to run on cache and I think there is a way to make it run without the missing maps . It's worth to meantion home used to run on HDD not cache in early versions, which is what i tried to research and find. Anyways here is a worldmap with some maps that I don't think was in other submissions (common rooms aren't there )

@DedSecisHere , so you're like can run home with CFW or something? i kinda stupid, how i can run at least model viewer or map or something on my rpcs3?

What I meant is some people say home isn't running because of maps and cache and missing files. I think that's not 100% true as home early versions including the dev ver has the ability to load stuff out off HDD not cache. there is something that I believe is possible to do to make the game run.

I know this thread is probably dead and buried, but if someone could give me a rundown (or just extract the models and textures for me) on how to extract the maps from pshome, i'd appreciate it. I'm trying to get Sully's Bar, but i literally have found nothing on how to get the map files. (plus the discord server link is dead, which isn't surprising lol)

There's a special version of Noesis out there that can view and export PSHome models to other formats. I'll have to see if I still have it though.

i found the noesis version, and i managed to get maps imported and exported and into blender. thanks for letting me know it existed lmao

You need to have the actual model files (using the .mdl extension) from the scene/object, not the sdat/bar/sharc.

A good tool to extract Home sdats among other things is Nautilus, which you can find here.
