Topics in ebook's index aren't visible

Describe the bug Index topics are visible only one by one and only if i pass the cursor on top of each of them. it's normal?. I refer on .epub files

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Click on a ebook file and open it with foliate
2. See error(screenshots below)

• Foliate version: 2.6.4
• OS/Distribution and version: MX-23.1_ahs_x64 Libretto October 15 2023 base: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
• Desktop environment: Xfce v: 4.18.1 tk: Gtk v: 3.24.36 xfce4-panel wm: xfwm v: 4.18.0 vt: 7 dm: LightDM v: 1.26.0
• Installation method: standard apt(foliate was included per default in distro)

Additional context "Read e-books in style. Open EPUB, Mobipocket, Kindle, FB2, CBZ, and PDF files." Tried open some .pdf's and got: could not open file, file type not supported

I found it was due to the default MX's Xfce desctop theme(mx-comfort [GTK2] ). Was enough to change to another theme to get rid the issue
