Categorical data incompatible with range indicator #74

Categorical data can be color-coded in the plots, but the range indicator component is bugged, and only shows a single color.

It is not obvious how the range indicator should work for categories. An alternative could be to have a "legend". For now, the range indicator will be hidden for categorical data.
