Anyone with a QR reader app can update the pass dynamic values #4

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a card with dynamic fields (ie credits remaining)
2. Save the card with blank or default values
3. Acquire a qr code reader from the App Store and scan the passbook item.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect to have access privileges to be able to update the value on the
card versus anyone typing a value in to change balances.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Passkit. Beta on ios6

Please provide any additional information below.

We've pushed changes to the live environment. Let us know if this is still an
issue.

Great fixed now :) Although I found another glitch, when creating an Event Pass
the location feature doesn't function correctly. Nothing is shown on the lock
screen when you are in the vicinity.

This is most likely not a glitch. If you have also a relevant date set then
the location will not show until close to the date. Since say you were holding
a concert ticket for concert in two months time. It would not be 'relevant' to
alert you every time you drove past the venue. A location alert is a passive
alert that displays when the pass is relevant. For more details see
[LockScreenMessages the bottom of this page] for more info.

If your location and date is correct (please also check the timezone), and you
do still do not see the location alert, please send your pass link to
support@passkit.com and we'll take a look at it. If the pass bundle if valid,
then the issue may be on Apple's side and we'll raise a bug with them.
