Support for multiple users: out of scope? #142

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
(Sorry this is listed as a defect -- it seems I can't open an enhancement
request.)

I'm building a multi-user photo gallery site based on photologue, and I was
wondering whether support for multiple users, groups, pools, etc. is
something you'd be interested in merging into photologue or whether it's
out of scope and I should fork instead.

Thanks for all of your great work.

Support for gallery/photo ownership will probably be included in PL3. However,
I would
suggest you take a look at django-imagekit
(http://bitbucket.org/jdriscoll/django-
imagekit/). ImageKit is designed to be easily integrated into your own models
and
supplies all the of the image manipulation functionality of Photologue (and
more).

Thanks Justin -- I should have taken a look at the discussion group before
posting
this, and I appreciate your patience with a question you've obviously heard a
lot.
I'll take a look at django-imagekit.
