No-one likes to talk about it, but we need to. It can't become somebody's personal liability, so let's look at ways of raising the minuscule funds we need to keep it going.

I suggest one of the following:

1) We have a donate page (on the site) and a corresponding PayPal donate button on the GitHub repo. That can go to whoever is responsible for seeing that the hosting (and other expenses) are paid.

2) We ask on Twitter for donations (possibly leading to those pages/links).

This issue hasn't been active for a while so I'm going to close it.

Before I do, just to add my ten cents. I think that it's too early with so few snippets to be asking for donations, there's not enough value. Personally, I'd look at this as a collaborative investment in which we, as the creators/core team, take on and share the burdens, rather than putting it on to visitors for a relatively new site. Right now, the costs are not high, we don't need to worry about them I don't think.
