Employee can apply for leave from 2023 years ago, but in reality, there is a maximum number of leaves one can have

Team's Response

Our understanding of this bug report is that there should be a maximum period imposed for a leave application. We base this on the title of the bug report, and the line "but in reality, there is a maximum number of leaves one can have".

We considered various cases, such as the instance where our system is used in our University, and a Professor takes a sabbatical which could be a period of 2 years or longer. In the end, we've came to the conclusion that there is no limit on the maximum length of the leaves, which we assume that you were referring to in your bug report.

It is not in our position as the provider of this application to impose the limit on the amount of leaves that one can provide to an employee. This is a HR policy that should be decided on the company's end as it varies from company/ organisation to company/ organisation.

Team chose [response.Rejected]

Reason for disagreement: Team failed to look at example provided, people generally dont take leaves more than a sabbatical of a year or 2, hence there should be some form of additional checks to ensure that the start and end date are not too far apart. In the example provided, a leave can technically go on for an infinite amount of time.
