Selecting/highlighting text in "find" or "replace" field removes selection in the document #134

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a document
2. Select/highlight a large portion of the document
3. Open the advance find/replace dialog - by default, the entire selection is
included in the "find" field.
4. Press Ctrl+A to highlight all text int he "find" field

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the highlight/selection in the document to stay as is, instead it's
cleared. As a result, doing search/replace in "selection only" does not work
as there is no selection any more.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu LTS 12.04, GEdit 3.6.4, advanced-find 3.5.4

Please provide any additional information below.
As this is a company-issued computer, I have no control over the version of the
OS or GEdit.

Sorry, the GEdit version was supposed to be 3.4.1
