Could you consider whether this is possible and if so give an estimate of the time/cost to create a solution? The point below are largely my thoughts on how it could work. We have manually created this type of guide but it is time consuming (https://www.naturespot.org.uk/IDguides). • Guides to be designed with an A4 format but with a flexible number of pages, depending how many species to include. Can be viewed online but with the option to download as a pdf. • Each guide to feature selected species – displaying the gallery image, a short text (description/how to ID/where to see it/etc.) and the RAG icon. Either one species to a row or two to a row with the text beneath. Aim for 5 species per A4 page. Each species name/image is hyperlinked to the species page. • We will top and tail each guide with custom blocks – to be designed and inserted by us. Ideally with the option to insert additional blocks as section intros. • We would have a guide template where we can create new guides by naming and saving them. Adding in the header/footer blocks then or later. • To select the species we would do this on the relevant species edit page. We need a drop down menu of available guides to select from. Some species will feature in multiple guides so we need a list of those guides selected. • Also on the species page we need a new text field where we add custom text to appear alongside the species in the guide. This guide text doesn’t appear on the species page itself. • We need some way of ordering the display of species, but this could be done in the saved template itself. • Finally we need a URL to the guide so we can add this to relevant pages, publicise it etc.
