Bug New version notification sends wrong messages for:

Fix Create a new reliable system for sending new version notifications, and for evaluating the file being opened.

Problem

  1. I started on old version of Rezonator (1.0.16), which prompted me to download the new version (1.1). I did, and it worked fine. (So far, so good.)
  2. BUT: After successfully installing the latest version (1.1), and using it briefly to adjust some settings, I closed it. I then restarted the program, at which point a notification appeared offering a very old, out-of-date version (1.0.9).
  3. Got a warning when opening a REZ file (from the newly created 1.1 directory).

This problem seems to be back.
