use hosts file for resolving names in Linux #100

This condition is under Linux.

Select Torrent -> Connect to Daemon.

In the 'Remote Host' column, only public DNS (like dyndns.org) and IP
addresses are resolved correctly. Or any name resolved by the
local(internal) DNS are also resolved. Hosts mentioned in the OS 'hosts'
file (for e.g. /etc/hosts) file are not taken into account and so the name
we type is not resolved. Adding an entry to the Internal DNS server is not
possible and is also not a proper solution.

Can we have the GUI read the OS hosts file too?

Thanks.

I have no interest to do that.
