New message count in tray: larger font size?

Could the new message count please be displayed in the tray in a larger font size? What I'd like to suggest is to display solely the respective number in as large a size as possible instead of drawing it as a small overlay to the envelope icon.

Example: please see this mockup. The screenshot was taken on a Win10 machine with a 100% display scaling. The diameter of the blue circle in the proposed design is 18 px (but could easily be even 20 px); used font: Arial Bold 14 px (because the current icon seems to use Arial or something similar). Obviously, the font size could be even larger if the circle itself was larger.
