Thanks for bringing a Map app to Cozy! Could it be possible to share an address found on Map? So that people can navigate to the address?

thanks @pierrevdk it's possible to share an address in several different way can you be more precise with your user case?

for example it's very possible to do a link under the marker popup with a share option, when clicked it can open OpenStreetMap.org with a marker on that very place. So you can copy past that address to email or phone messenger to share with your buddy to nav to that point

Sorry for the time I took to answer. I wanted to embed the address on a page and why not send it via SMS to my friends. Both option would be tremendous!

i see, well there is something definitely working but not sexy like to click on a share button that provide a link with a map center and a marker on Open Street Map but with a long chain url. Cozy don't have a shorter link tool yet, right? like https://cozy.G5u0s.

Ideally, i wish to be able to render or call a public simple but more fashioned map to share stuff with friends. Maybe a second Cozy-Map "public" app like the Ghost blog app on Cozy.

edited NB: i have no clue on how to do a public folder api for the map. if you guys have an idea, i will be glad to hear some advices/directions to do that.

Unfortunately not yet for the link shortener. I don't have any clue, but ask the question on our forum, you will have your answer 😉

just update with commit 96ab508 when you find a POI with the Cozy search input you can now share it via OSM with a marker on. not fancy but do the job.
