[PATCH] Improve handling of failing commands #7

When a program failed, the status code wasn't propagated. That tend to
break a lot of scripting that depends on knowing if the command was
successfully executed and what was the cause of the failure.

Plus, the user won't get an ugly Python traceback anymore when the command
fails =)

BTW, the patch will probably not apply if the patch provided in Issue 6 is not
applied first.
