Can you explain why, the pros and the cons? I see no feature that require this change.

PHP 7.2 is not supported, not PHP 7.3
it forbid us to add type hint everywhere
it blocks us to be "creative" & it blocks innovation
there are no valid reason the keep compatibility : if your project run on PHP 7.2, this is is still installable. Of course you'll not be able to get new features...
