High CPU usage

Using 0.4.20 and my CPU is going through the roof upon the checking interval.

I suggest two things

1. Option to set the checking interval - I for one don't need to let people
know about my music status every second. 30 seconds would be enough

2. Let me choose the detection mechanisms - for instance I'd be ok just
with Winamp and MSN compatible, and MusicTracker should ignore all the other.

Thanks for ignoring the defect reporting template. :-)

Perhaps you can share with me the OS you are using, and how you are determining 
that
pidgin-musictracker is reponsible for the high CPU usage. 

music status is updated every 15 seconds at the moment, so if you are seeing CPU
spikes at 1 second interval, pidgin-musictracker shouldn't be the cause of this.

The UI for selecting the players and their order does need improving as you 
suggest.
