Adding series by AniDB ID

Can we bring back the feature of adding anime by AniDB's anime ID number. I can 
understand why this feature was changed to the new search function, but often 
when adding new airing shows the search function cannot find them.

I actually installed an older version of JMM desktop on a different pc just to 
continue using the anime ID feature when the new search couldn't find the new 
series.

The search is a better way of adding shows, but could we not have both?
'Search for anime or enter ID here' would be nice
