Backup IMAP to POP3 #4

Is it possible to backup as in download all the message off the IMAP account to a POP3 email client of choice ?

It allows you to download your mailbox locally. Simultaneously, dovecot, a mail server, reads the backed up mailbox and serves it to any imap client able to access the server. I’m sure it would be possible to do the same thing with a pop server. I'm seeking to backup from IMAP to POP3 client of choice.
