Tp4056 is necessary? #3

Why using a TP4056 when using a solar panel?

Wemos D1 mini pro v 2 includes a battery charger. Won't it be possible to connect the solar panel directly to the D1 mini pro?

Maybe. I started the project using Wemos Lolin D1 without a battery charger. I later changed to the Pro version with a battery charger. I have never tested without the TP4056 (since that works very well). I haven't been studying the boards etc for 2 years now and can't remember if there would be some known issues without TP4056.

I could think TP4056 has larger input voltage tolerance to operate within and thereby be better to both load battery and run the board at the same time within altering solar panel output levels. Maybe.
