Can we work together to assign RRIDs to these tools, one of them already has one (with 6 citations so far):

n2t.net/RRID:SCR_021012 n2t.net/RRID:SCR_021012.json

Thanks for contributing this idea. Feel free to open a PR with an example how you imagine to link the RRIDs for each project?

I found already several other projects with an RRID.

My vision is that the RRID would live behind the name, i.e., PySyft, RRID:SCR_021012 - Python library for the server/IoT part of the OpenMined's open-source ecosystem.

Alternatively at the end like this PySyft - Python library for the server/IoT part of the OpenMined's open-source ecosystem, in text citation: PySyft, RRID:SCR_021012

We have a curator who will go through this list to pull the URLs and create RRID pages. We can relate them to awesome-he page and other stuff like the university.

just trying to get the ok in principle, then we will spend time filling this out if in principle it will work.

Sorry, for letting you wait for so long. I like your suggestion: PySyft, RRID:SCR_021012 - Python library for the server/IoT part of the OpenMined's open-source ecosystem.

However, I am wondering how much value the RRID brings to this community. 🤔 Therefore, I was waiting for some reactions from the community. Are you still willing to spend the time to create the RRID pages (including future updates of this list)?

We can map this once, but it would be up to your team to update the list with RRIDs when you do updates on your side.

If you would like us to do that, please send me a list of tools with their names and URLs, any description information would be good as well. I may be able to extract that, but it might be better to have it from you, I don't code. We will map it into the RRID schema and map to existing records or create new ones.

Okay, then I'll would wait for the community to upvote this issue and if there is enough interest, we could proceed. Please upvote if you want to see RRIDs in this awesome list.
