Changing main header background.... #11

Hoping I can fast forward on my education here, and maybe get some help on changing the plain black background header to an image? Also, no clue where to find "main.Sections", so I'm at a loss on how to interpret that instruction.... Hugo instructions are greatly lacking for the uninitiated.

Many thanks, in advance.

Never mind, figured it out! Great styling, and great theme. I love it. God bless!

Would be really great to get an example site from y'all to reverse engineer some things.

How did you get it to work?

How did you get it to work?

create an _index.md page in your content file and set your image location as a "featured image"

lewisl commented 3 years ago

I did but feature_image wasn’t enough.

Also, within the template there are some conflicts by using feature_image at the site level, section level, and post level.

I now use “cover_image” at the site and section levels.

Love casper3; loved casper on ghost.

There are some other problems especially with the post-cards.

Would you look at a pull request?

Overall, your theme is nearly a dead wringer for the ghost casper; you use the minimum of layouts; and get all of the functionality. And this is much cleaner than Hugo casper2 (though that was a credible start).

I am talking about refinements and internal consistency.
