We need to build a small ditch on the side of the road that is next to our fence, allowing water to drain down this gutter instead of draining down the road itself. We should use the soil removed from this side to build up the low parts of the road.
Ultimately, we want a road that is crowned in the middle, and higher even at the edges than the gutter on either side of it.
