Scope and fix valves in mudroom sink #66

The sink in the mudroom has some valves that don't hold in both directions. In some cases, you can open the hot side and see water trickling from the cold side, or vice versa. We first need to list out which ones need to be fixed.

The valves are very specific, and there's a different one for the hot versus the cold of each faucet. We have some replacement parts in the two boxes on top of the plumbing box in the attic of the well shed. The boxes look like this: image

If we don't already have a valve that we need, we can get one from the hardware store or plumbing store, but we have to have one not installed to take to the store to match up.

Also, until we get the cut-off valves replaced, the water for the entire house has to be turned off while a valve is removed and replaced. So, we have to manage the replacement of valves carefully, possibly taking one or two valves to the store to get more before installing them.
