Down in the creek below the cliff, there is a long-dead elm tree that looks like this:
It's been dead a long time, but is there any good wood left in the tree? We should cut it down at the base and see what the wood looks like.
If it looks like it could be useful wood, we should figure out how to haul it up whole--by tying a line to it and pulling it up the cliff using the tractor or the Jeep.
If the wood doesn't look good, we should just cut it into firewood sized pieces and bring them to the firepit in the tractor bucket.
